Remarkable Russian Santa carving with lantern and boy bag with tree. He stands on a base with night sky scene. Throughout his body are 92 semiprecious stone embedded tastefully (15 coral, 16 avanturin, and 61 gepatit). This Russian Santa Claus made is hand carved from solid linden, also known as either basswood or lime. Once carved and sanded the Santa is artistically embellished, hand painted and finished in extraordinary detail with numerous coats and finally signed or initialed by the artist.
